Lake Mburo National Park
Overview
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact and scenic park located in western Uganda, just four hours’ drive from Kampala. Known for its tranquil atmosphere and rolling acacia-dotted hills, the park offers a more relaxed and intimate safari experience. It is the only park in Uganda where you can spot zebras, elands, and impalas in the same place. With five lakes inside the park, visitors can enjoy boat safaris, nature walks, horseback riding, and cycling tours—making it a perfect stop for active travelers or those short on time. Lake Mburo is also a birdwatcher's paradise, home to over 350 bird species.
