Itinerary

Day 1:

Travel to Kayunga to visit Kaynela farm. It is an ideal tourist getaway where the guest shall be part of the sustainable and organic farming practices, farm-to-table meals preparations, immersive milking of cows and harvesting vegetables.

Day 2:

Participate in agro farming activities at Kaynela and enjoy outdoor activities at the farm. Cooking classes for the local foods at the farm and additional outdoor activities like birdwatching and nature walks.

Day 3:  Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only destination where you go for guided rhino tracking on foot. Our visit to the Sanctuary supports their rhino preservation efforts.


Followed by cultural interactions with surrounding communities that have contributed to the conservation activities. When available, you may join your host community in grazing their cattle at the sanctuary to help control the growth of grass. If this is not available, you will join in other daily activities.

Day 4:  Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Nature walks, birding, shoebill tracking in the morning, and hold any conservation discussions before returning to Kampala.


Day 5: Nubian Community

On your way back to Kampala, you will visit the Bombo Cultural Village (Nubian Culture)

Engage with the Nubian community through different activities: weaving baskets and other weaving crafts, learning their traditional Kinubi cuisine in a cooking class, joining in music and dance, and gaining insights into their unique history and way of life in Uganda through storytelling.

Day 6: Pineapple hunting

Today, we are visiting another agro farm facility, this time to enjoy a very popular local activity which is the pineapple hunting competition. You will go around the field and try to identify the largest pineapple; whoever finds the largest wins the competition.


We will also visit a pineapple drying facility before returning to Kampala as the last activity of your itinerary.
